A Quick Thank You

What good is making music if it’s not to help causes you absolutely believe in to your core? This past Saturday was so unbelievably positive and beautiful, and the amount of love and support that our band and our new Sonar Foundation were shown on Saturday, was remarkable. The support came from all different angles. The other 13 magnificent bands/artists who came together and shared the stage with us all to raise money for Seattle Children’s Uncompensated Care fund, who also decided to donate their own merchandise sales to the fund, is such an amazing act of kindness by everyone one who took that stage. And we are so grateful to call all of them or friends and music community. Every act was phenomenal and we felt lucky to have had the opportunity to play with all of them.

Other support in the way of people showing up, and STAYING THE ENTIRE NIGHT!!! Among Authors didn’t end up taking the stage until about 1am, because we didn’t want to cut any of the other band’s performances short, and to our surprise all of you were right there, front and center, and cheering the entire time we were playing. How were you not all dead tired by then? The world may never know.

Whether you performed that night, offered up your venue, came as a fan, donated online, took photos, or just shared the facebook event to help spread the word, YOU helped us raise over $2,000 for Seattle Children’s Hospital. (incoming post with exact numbers) and you should all be so damn proud of the support you’ve shown. It makes us so happy to know all of you, and to call you all beautiful human beings.

Rain City Collective just wrote a lovely review of the concert, go check it out via the link below if you’re interested!
